State of Head (2000-Current)
Following the demise of lowercase, I rolled the best material into a new
project, which consisted of Rich Wilson, Mic Mell, Hunter Myhre, Jeremy Gager,
and Myself. After a number of line-up changes and eventually a dissolution, I
was left to my own devices. I began to re-work the material from the lowercase
album, adding a few new songs and enlisting the keyboard skills of Mic Mell. the
result was an 11 song LP which launched the second phase of the band in Orlando,
Florida. The new incarnation of State of Head is currently in the studio with a
follow up EP of mostly instrumental tunes.

we assembled a noise collage which we dubbed "Diatomaceous Earth." Following in
that spirit, we recorded two improvised pieces of electronic music and an EP of
concrete tunes. We are on semi-permanent hiatus but plan to emerge with our long
delayed LP, The Shackles of RAM.

Lowercase (2000)
Lowercase was an amalgamation of Blanche (1996) and Blue Sky Baby (1995) with a
more experimental edge and a few new songs. Jeff Wagner, Adam Daugherty and I

began recording an album of mostly new material. 5 songs into the record,
production stopped. I would eventually complete the album alone, and give birth
to State of Head's Good News for Everyone.

Funkanetics (1999-2000)
Mic Mell and I decided to form a band to showcase some funkier work we had been
developing in separate cities. The resulting band became a workhorse on the Ft.
Lauderdale jazz scene, playing as many as 4 shows a week and constantly evolving
our improvisational styles. Funkanetics recorded two full length albums, with one
song eventually finding it's way into a Burdines(Macy's) commercial pushing Nautica
Jeans.

Blanche (1996-1999)
Blanche was formed by Jeff Wagner & I after deciding we wanted to take a more
experimental approach to music. Our song forms became longer and more abstract,
utilizing atonality and noise as well as a bit of pop sensibility. To this day,
I feel that my work with Blanche is some of my strongest. The band enjoyed a
brief reunion in 1998 and brought the house down in one final show.

this rather sensational indie rock band. The band played roughly 10 shows and recorded a full length record. we split up when
Jesse moved to
Gainesville, Florida. I would later reform the band with Jesse and drummer
Reggie Johnson in 1998 and play a successful string of shows (including one

Willis (1994-1995)
I'll leave the description to Rich Wilson, who has this to say about his time
with Willis: "This was the first band that I was in that did any significant
amount of writing, rehearsing, recording, and performing. We played all over
South Florida for that one year. And it was one of the craziest time in anyone's
life who had the fortune or lack there of to have been involved. To this day
this is the loudest, most destructive and by far the drunkest band I have ever
played with." We have decided to carry on the Willis legacy in the form of
a new recording. no shows have been planned, but we certainly can't rule them
out.

on various instruments and takes a shot at yelling into the microphone. Outsider

Heft (1991)
My first attempt at being in a rock band came in the form of after school and
summer sessions in my bedroon. Rich Wilson and I hacked and slashed our way
through miserable covers of songs by Mr. Big, Extreme, Def Leppard, and Van Halen.
Recordings of these practices were made using a radio shack dj mixer, two
microphones and a tape deck. Rich Wilson wrote our only original song: "The

I entered the world of recording/writing music by starting a wanna-be rap group in Middle School. I made every effort to take it seriously, including splicing beats, Scratching records and writing rhymes. To be honest, It wasn't THAT bad.
